Helmdon WI - An Introduction
Sadly after over 100 years in the village, last night saw the closure of Helmdon Women's Institute. Unfortunately our members are all getting older and without a committee we have had to fold.
I am grateful to the ladies of Helmdon W.I. for their friendship over the years and the chance to hear interesting speakers and gain new experiences and skills. It also has been great to be part of a Women's organisation which has done much for the rights of women and campaigned on all kinds of important issues.We will all keep in touch and if anyone would like to re-start our W.I. then there are funds available and lots of support - just let me know or look on the W.I. website for advice.
