Helmdon Tots - An Introduction

The Helmdon Tots (previously known as Parents & Tots) is a service provided by Mothers' Union members for mothers, fathers, nannies, etc. – people who are looking after young children. We also like mums who are pregnant with first babies to come along and meet the group. It gives them a chance to meet and socialise with each other over a cup of coffee or tea.
We lay out lots of activities for the children and often nurse babies to give mum a break. Also it's a chance to talk about various problems with the ones among us who have usually dealt with all these things at various times when we were young mothers.
Meetings are normally held at Helmdon Reading Room (20 Church Street).

Venue changed from Church to the Reading Room on Church Street.

Update - 29 April 2021
We are delighted to announce that Parents and Tots is going to start again in the church next Thursday 6th May at 10am - 12 noon. Safety precautions will be followed. Masks to be worn by all adults and hand sanitizer to be used on entering the church. Looking forward to seeing parents and carers with the children. - Ann Smith
Provisional Update - 09 April 2019
Parents and Tots is starting for the summer 2019 term on Thursday April 25th from 10am until 12 o'clock. It will be open every Thursday until end of school term.
We shall be in church from 9.30 setting up if it suits any body to come earlier straight from Acorns or school.
Update 11 December 2018
Parents and Tots is starting for the spring 2019 term on Thursday January 3rd from 10am until 12 o'clock. It will be open on the first Thursday of the month until Easter.

Parents and Tots is starting for the autumn term on Thursday September 6th from 10am until 12 o'clock.
We shall be in church from 9.30 setting up if it suits any body to come earlier straight from Acorns or school.
Update 25 May 2018
After half term, Parents and Tots will be starting at 9.15 am and finishing at 11.15 am. This is at the request of mums so they can come up to church soon after dropping older children off at Acorns and school.
