Nigh-time lane closures on A43 southbound 6th-26th September

There will be night-time lane closures from 6 September to 26 September, 8.00pm to 6.00am.

Access to Whitfield village will be maintained at all times and emergency responders will have access through the works.

Banbury bus continues to run monthly

The Helmdon - Banbury bus continues to run on the first Thursday of every month. It will run on the following dates:

Thursday 3rd June 2021

Thursday 1st July 2021

Thursday 5th August 2021

Thursday 2nd September 2021

There are three pick-ups in Helmdon:

10:20am – Wappenham Road, at the top of Field Way

10:21am – Station Road, at the bottom of Church Road

Overnight road closures on northbound A43 from 6th-19th April 2021

HS2 will be closing the A43 between the Northampton Road Brackley roundabout (BP roundabout) and the Syresham Junction, Welsh Road from 20:00pm to 6.00am. The closure will be in place from Tuesday 6th April to Monday 19th April. There will be no access from the Radstone Road or Whitfield onto the A43 during these night-time closures and a diversion will be in place.

Thursday bus to Banbury cancelled for the time being

Helmdon and Greatworth & Halse Parish Councils have made the decision to cancel the Thursday bus to Banbury for the short term, with immediate effect. The two Councils will monitor this decision ongoing and will provide an update when the situation changes.

We feel that it's been a success - there are regularly more than 35 passengers each week and over Christmas it was so popular that we had to organise a bigger bus!
