The Annual meeting of the Parish Council will be held in the Reading Room this evening (19th May) at 7:30pm. A new Chairman will be elected as Cllr John Coatsworth will be retiring from the Council after many years service. The candidates for the two Councillor vacancies will be considered, and the statements for the 2020-21 Annual Governance and Accountability Return will be signed.

Good News - The Book Swap and DVDs Swap/Loan facility at Helmdon Reading Room is now back again. Jigsaw Loans are also now available from Helmdon Church.

The Thursday afternoon Post Office services in the Reading Rooms will be reinstated commencing this coming Thursday, 15th April.
The regular Tuesday morning service (10.00 - 12.00) remains as normal.

The constitution for the Helmdon Community Foundation which will take over the Reading Room has been approved by the Charity Commission. Volunteers are needed to make sure that the Reading Room can recover from the closures during the pandemic and develop activities for everyone in Helmdon with a wide range of events.

Good News... Books and DVDs are still available
Helmdon Reading Room will continue open its doors on Saturdays and Tuesdays from 10am till midday, and on Thursdays from 2pm till 4pm, to allow access to the collection of Books to exchange and DVDs to **borrow / exchange.

The cafe will be open this Tuesday 3rd November but will then not reopen until the lockdown has ended.
The Post Office will be open Tuesday as normal and is expected to continue to be available during lockdown.

The Village Cafe will be open as normal on Tuesdays from 10.00 to 12.00.
Face masks need to be worn on entering and leaving the Reading Room.
Customers should exit the Reading Room by the rear door.
