Sulgrave village hall are hosting afternoon tea for anyone over 60 who wishes to attend. It will be held on Saturday 26th January 2019 at 1pm. Each tea will be £3 and will include sandwiches, cakes and hot drinks.

The Helmdon Advent Windows Map is now complete! - Take a look at where this years' advent windows will be lighting up our village.
Windows will be lit between 5:00 and 9.00pm from their "opening" date until at least the 27th December. If weather permits we are planning an informal walk round the village on Boxing Day to view all the windows, taking the opportunity to look at all the other Christmas... Read More »

The all-weather running track on the field at Helmdon Primary School is now officially open. On Friday 16th the school held an opening ceremony and Fergus Scott, this year's winner of the Helmdon Hurler and a former pupil of the school ran the first mile, followed quickly afterwards by the entire school and children from Acorns Pre-school. Helmdon Stitchers have excelled themselves with this Christmas knit, for Katharine House Hospice. Almost 200 of these chocolate filled novelties will go on sale from a number of KH outlets, to raise much needed funds for this worthy cause. Well done ladies.

As part of the national commemoration of the end of First World War, a commemoration event will be held outside Helmdon church tomorrow night (Sunday 11th November 2018). The event will commence at 6:40 pm with a reading of the names of local people who gave their lives during the conflict, followed by a reading of Tribute to the Millions, a specially written commemoration poem. Children of Helmdon Primary School and Helmdon Acorns have been preparing for tomorrow's bonfire night and learning about how the 5th of November all started.
