A new tree of hope for the future at St Mary Magdalene

On behalf of St. Mary Magdalene:

Following the loss of the yew tree planted to celebrate the millennium, which unfortunately died due to being waterlogged some years ago, we have now replaced the tree with a Glastonbury Thorn (click here for details of the history of the Thorn tree).

A day of Crafts in the Church with a variety of stall holders and many gifts to buy. Refreshments will be available and proceeds from the day will go to Rainbows Children's Hospice.

Helmdon Village Fete will be held this Saturday 29th June at Fountain House, Wappenham Road starting at 2.00 pm.

Raffle (including Silverstone Grand Prix tickets), Stalls, Cakes, Teas, Pimms, Games, Entertainment and Tractor Rides - so something for everyone.

Charity musical evening with local talent - raising money for the Mother's Union charity Special Relief

Thursday 27th June - Helmdon Church - 7pm

Musical items performed by some local talented youngsters and the Astwell Benefice Church Choir.

Interval drinks and a finger buffet.

No ticket required, donations welcome. Donations will go to the Mother's Union charity Special Relief. There are Mothers Union members all over the world so funds can be sent direct where ever there is a disaster.
