The external auditors PKF Littlejohn LLP have completed their audit of the Council's finances for the year ending 31st March 2019 and have issued their report. Their approval is unqualified, there were no matters giving cause for concern and they have no other matters that they wish to draw to the attention of the Council.

The Parish Council have upgraded the light bulbs in five of the village streetlights, replacing the orange glow of the old sodium light bulbs with a whiter light from an LED bulb. The LED bulbs consume far less energy and last much longer than the old sodium bulbs which are no longer being manufactured.

South Northamptonshire Council are running a Housing Needs Survey in Helmdon to find out about the type of housing that Helmdon residents feel is needed in the village.
