Mothers' Union Meetings to be held in church from November

Starting in November all Mothers' Union meetings will be
held in church, immediately following the 10am Benefice Communion Service. This takes advantage of the fact that the heating will have been on and that the church is spacious enough to support social distancing as covid is still a threat. Meetings start with coffee and biscuits then business etc.

The Mothers' Union invite villagers to join them to hear Chris Bazeley's talk on  ‘What the poppy means to me’

Next MU meeting 27th October at 7pm in Helmdon church. Chris Bazeley will be talking and showing slides about 'What the poppy means to me'.

Great emphasis will be on the history of the British Legion Standard in the church. Chris's father was the standard bearer for many years.

We hope lots of people other than MU members will come to what should be a very interesting evening

No Helmdon Post Office Tuesday 26th October - cafe will be open

Next Tuesday, the 26th October, there will be no Post Office service available in the Reading Room due to staff shortages.

The Village Cafe will be available 10.00 - 12.00, as usual.
