Free bus to Banbury from the village, every Thursday morning. Starting this Thursday 4th October

Helmdon Parish Council are pleased to announce that they will be running a FREE weekly bus from the village into Banbury town centre (via Greatworth) every Thursday morning.

There will be three pick-ups in Helmdon:

  • 10:20am – Wappenham Road, at the top of Field Way
  • 10:21am – Station Road, at the bottom of Church Street
  • 10:22am – Station Road, at the entrance to Hintons Close

After leaving Helmdon the bus will stop in Greatworth and then continue onto Banbury where it will drop all passengers off at the bus station, next to Castle Quay shopping centre. It will return from the bus station at 1pm, dropping passengers off at Greatworth and then Helmdon.

This bus service is free to all Helmdon and Greatworth residents and will run every Thursday. Passengers will not need a pass or ticket, and there is no need to pre-book.

Helmdon and Greatworth Parish Councils are running this as a trial service for 5 months – if it proves to be popular then both Councils hope to budget for providing this service ongoing. If you have any questions about this service please contact Helen du Bois eg. via our contact page
