Mothers' Union (Astwell Group)

Mother's Union - An Introduction

The Mothers' Union focus is on promoting family values and marriage whilst sharing love and fellowship with others.

We believe in transforming communities from the inside and want our members and communities to be the voice of Christ socially and to fight for the future of families.

We welcome newcomers of all ages from the Astwell area (Helmdon, Stutchbury, Syresham, Radstone, Whitfield, Wappenham, Lois Weedon with Weston and Plumpton).

For further information about the Astwell Group please contact Audrey Beattie or use our contact form. Additional information is available on the Mothers' Union website.

Mother's Union - Mission Statement

The Mothers' Union is a Christian organisation which promotes the well-being of families worldwide. We achieve this by:

  • Developing prayer and spiritual growth in families
  • Studying and reflecting on family life and marriage and its place in society
  • Resourcing our members to take practical action to improve conditions for families, nationally and in the communities in which they live.

Meetings from November 2021

Starting in November 2021, all Mothers' Union meetings will be held in Helmdon church immediately following the 10am Benefice Communion Service. This takes advantage of the fact that the heating will have been on and that the church is spacious enough to support social distancing as Covid is still a threat. Meetings start with coffee and biscuits then business etc.

The next meeting will be on Wednesday 24th November. This will be the AGM followed by sharing and showing of crafts, favourite poems, readings, recipes etc.

New members are always welcome to join us.
