Open to All - Mother’s Union 'Musical Evening' featuring local children
Thu, 29 Jun 2023 19:00
Open to all, the Mother's Union will host a Musical Evening on Thursday 29th June at 7pm in Helmdon Church. Tickets are not required however a donation in aid of the MU World Relief fund would be gratefully received.
Light refreshments will be available at the interval.
Amongst the performers are:
- four children from Helmdon Primary School, each at various stages of their musical development,
- Miranda Balch, a very talented violinist, was lead violin for Northants youth orchestra and is now at university studying music. She has performed for the Helmdon MU Musical Evenings since she was at primary school.
- Emma Butler (who villagers may know better as Emma Griffiths), started her singing career as a choir girl in Helmdon church, has performed at many of our earlier musical evenings . Emma is bringing along two of her students to sing and also her friend Melody who will be playing the viola.
This is not a concert, as such, but rather an informal musical evening featuring mostly local talent.
This promises to be an enjoyable evening and your support will be greatly appreciated.
